JONATHAN LUCKHURST
Founder & President

Jonathan Luckhurst received his BSc in Cell Biology-Genetics from the University of British Columbia and was instrumental in the construction of Nutraponics Canada Corporation’s demonstration facility—Canada’s largest aquaponics facility to date. He is a graduate of The Aquaponic Farming Course (2015, Denver, Colorado). In 2019, he was invited by Rob Macintosh, founder of the Pembina Institute, to implement indoor farming projects in Fort Chipewyan for Greenplanet Energy Analytics—a green energy company that he still consults for. In 2021, he published The Indoor Gardener: A Complete Guide to Growing Your Food Indoors. As one of the Alberta Motor Association’s primary partners for their School Garden Studio project, he develops curriculum-based, educational food production programs for schools. Currently, Luckhurst has been asked to consult with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada on the development of the National Food Security Strategy.

As an artist and designer, he has received grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and the Edmonton Arts Council. In 2015, he was invited to participate in the Vancouver Biennale International Artist Residency Program and in 2020, he was commissioned by the Art Gallery of Alberta to create an installation for the BMO World of Creativity Gallery. Since 2021, he has been working toward the development and realization of his current project, Proposals for Reimagined Futures, which was published by the Vancouver Biennale in 2025. This work was presented at the Phylum Artist Talks series in Bristol, UK in 2026.

Kevin Hull brings expertise in green technology, sales and marketing. He is the CEO of Emergent Waste Solutions, a company that converts waste materials into sustainable products. With a degree in Business Administration, he has successfully secured funding for major infrastructure projects.
